New Phytologist is a leading plant science journal, founded in 1902. I have been associated with New Phytologist for more than 20 years, first as an editor, then as a member of the Board of Trustees, and most recently as Treasurer of the New Phytologist Foundation. During this time New Phytologist has risen through the rankings to become one of the top two primary plant science journals. Recently the Foundation has launched a new interdisciplinary journal, titled Plants, People, Planet.<\/p>

I hasten to add that much of the credit for the success of these publications belongs to the brilliance of their editorial boards and the hard work of the production team in the Central Office. It continues to be a privilege to be part of this success story.<\/p>
