Out to grass

Two nice grass-related events happened today. I appeared on a BBC Radio 4 Natural History programme this morning, talking about evolution of plants and humans. It will be available for a while as a podcast. My son happened to hear the show in the car and didn’t recognise his own father’s voice, which he thought sounded like a comedy Welshman. It seems you can take the boy out of Briton Ferry, but you can’t take Briton Ferry out of the boy.

I’ve also been in discussion with a journal about publication of a short commentary on grass and the Anthropocene, picking up on some points made in the radio show, and anticipating my forthcoming book about this and so much more. Further developments will be reported shortly.
