Our good friend Stefan, Professor in the Plant Biology Department of the University of Zürich, died far too soon last December. Among the many tributes to his work and friendship, a group of his colleagues wrote this paper in appreciation of his many decisive contributions to our understanding of chlorophyll metabolism.
